Do you remember these words from Senator Rick Santorum back in April?

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything," Santorum said in the AP interview, which was published Monday.

I don't think so. He was charming in the one gay movie he was in. He's the Village Voice gay sex columnist who gives advice to straight people. Fairly funny as that sort of thing goes.

approximately how old is he? if he is not in his 50s now, that would pretty much eliminate any likelihood of his being the one who owned it.

There will always be ignorant bigoted assholes like Rick Santorum, no matter how much our society becomes more enlightened.
What puzzles, and saddens, me is that there was not an immediate outcry from his colleages for his stupid and ignorant remarks.
It seems as though America is becoming a more intolerant and backward society in the past few years, and the differences between us and our "enemies",(Iraq, Iran, China, Al Qaida, N. Korea,) are becoming less, while the gap betgween us and our "friends" (Europe, Canada, Japan, etc) is becoming wider.
i was in a gay chat room the other day, and there were all these gay men standing up and loudly defending the current administration, J. Edgar Ashcroft included.
If we as gay, androgynous, bi-sexual, whatever, people will not stand up for own rights, and denounce intolerance and bigotry, then we deserve whatever we get from this government and their right wing "Christian" friends.

His colleagues are equally bigoted or at least see political profit in going along with it.

There will always be right-wing gay people stupid enough to praise people who just as soon see them in concentration camps. First time I heard of a gay Republican I was pretty shocked.

head for the hills, the conservatives are on top.If I am elected queen, I would pass a law that all conservatives would be required to wear little striped beanie hats, with propellers on top. That way you could spot them in a crowd. The country would be better off with me anyway, rather than the people who are currently in power.
